ISEP formed by 1979 Georgetown University, is a non-profit educational institution committed to helping students overcome academic and financial obstacles to pursue a degree abroad.

Through collaboration with institutions of its member, ISEP have been able to provide students with high-quality academic programs at more than 300 universities across more than 50 countries.

About ISEP Scholarship

The International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) Community Scholarship supports scholars by helping them assist in increasing the possibility of affordable study in abroad and abroad.

ISEP members from every member school who have demonstrable financial need can be considered for an ISEP Community Scholarship. It is recommended to apply if one of the students who are statistically underrepresented when studying abroad. It is possible to apply if

  • You are currently serving in the military of your country or are a veteran
  • You are disabled
  • You're the first member of your family to go to either a university or college.
  • You are taking classes abroad to master the language of your choice.
  • Your identity is LGBTQ
  • You are studying engineering, science, technology math, education, or science
  • You're part of an ethnic, racial or religious minority in your country of origin.

What is the amount given to scholarship recipients?For 2019-20, ISEP will award US$500 scholarships to ISEP students at member institutions.

How to Apply:
To apply, submit the application by March 30, 2019.

The recipients are selected by ISEP members. ISEP community. ISEP community Scholars are chosen based on their responses to the prompts for financial statements of need and a personal essay:

We want to know your financial situation by replying to the following questions:

  • Are you receiving financial aid from a different source in such a way as a scholarship, grant or loan through your institution of choice or the government, or from other sources that are not part of your family?
  • How will you fund the cost of your studies abroad?
  • The difference in your estimate costs and the funding available for studying abroad?
  • Have you worked to fund your education or your studies in another country?

Think about your own personal story and how it is related in ISEP the values of your community:

  • You should be focused on your personal goals and the determination to reach them
  • Your capacity to face challenges and communicate your progress
  • The ability to connect with and outside of your personal community
  • Your tenacity and ability to be successful in difficult circumstances
  • The reason you want to pursue an international experience
  • Your commitment to considering different perspectives and ideas across diverse views, identities, and points of perspective.

Utilize your story's values as a way to explain to us why you should be awarded the ISEP Community Scholarship by addressing the following questions, and giving concrete examples.

  1. What were your educational, professional or career goals affect your decision to go to school in a different nation?
  2. What are your motivations for you deciding to study abroad through ISEP?

All applicants for scholarships are evaluated on the answers they provide to these questions. Statements of need should be not more than 300 words, personal essays need to be no longer than 500 characters. Both must be in English.

About ISEP Scholarship Funds for Students

The ISEP Student Scholarship Fund was introduced in November 2014, with the initial objective of raising $50,000 for student scholarships. It has already had significant changes in the lives of the upcoming ISEP students.
